Zombie Shoot, Costume ideas Top Ten List

The local shooting club has a "Zombie Match" at the end of every month.
It is run with 22 cal guns and they tell me it's a lot of fun. ( I know, this is RS stuff, but hey, it's fun)
I ordered a holster and mag pouch for my Ruger 22/45
I also ordered a Uramex HK MP5SD 22lr rifle.
I figured that I need to dress the part if I am going to do it.
I was on the phone tonight with Sam from X-caliber Tactical and asked for some ideas,
I should have known better !

So after a hour or so he sent me these,

So Tim's going to attend a "Zombie Hunter" gun shoot and needs some costume ideas....

1.   Since Tim actually is an ordained priest (Honest!! Would I lie about a servant of the Lord?!)

2.  Since Tim is a priest with aspirations... and because the Pope has put Tim as number 2 on his most wanted list behind the Devil after the now famed "Buca Di Beppo  incident at SHOT 2010.

3.   Have you really not seen that movie trailer yet?

4.    I would imagine this would also get Tim free gas when his truck squeals to a stop in front of a gas station and then he rushes in.. offering to pay for it in cash.

5.  Why not use Tim's arch enemy to his own advantage?  Plus imagine all the Sean Connery insults he would be able to throw out.  "I zombied your mother last night!"

6. Tim can just wear that blood splattered shirt from SHOT Show, you know, after you hacked up that hooker at that suite at TI.....oops..  um.... everyone forget what I just said there...

7.  Remember Tim... it's a chainsaw... not the leaf blower...

8.  The only reason why I suggest this is because Tim already has the costume.  Besides, where do you think Zombie Hunters originally came from?

9.   If Batman can make it work for him, to take what you fear most and turn it  into what strengthens you....why not?

10.   If Flying Monkeys can make it work for him to take what you fear most ,....why not?

Now it's your turn
Do you have any to add?
More airsoft stuff coming soon.
Same Bat time, Same Bat Channel.

Till tomorrow

You Know your too old for airsoft when......

I saw a post about this on the Team AARP forum,
I then remembered we had one a year or so ago on the NCAO Forum
So, being totally unimaginative, I thought I should do one myself.
I will start it and add as time goes on,
But feel free to add all you like in the comments section.
I am sure you guys will come up with better ones than I can.

Let's start,
You Know Your Too Old For Airsoft,

1. YKYTOFA when you local field requires full face mask for teens,,,and a oxygen mask for you.

2. YKYTOFA when your at the drug store looking for Depends in Muilti Cam for your next game.

3. YKYTOFA when you have given up on explaining that it's
"Mil-sim"or "Tactical training"
and just tell you wife when your leaving the house,
" I am going to play war with the other kids"

4.YKYTOFA when you step out from behind cover to take a hit just so you can head to respawn and get a chance to sit down.

5. YKYTOFA when you take the sniper role, so you can nap a few times in the afternoon.

6. YKYTOFA when your guns have had more birthdays then your teammates.

7. YKYTOFA when you have custom mollie pouches built to hold your toilet paper and prep H.

8. YKYTOFA when the local field has a special waiver for you, that requires you to have your own EMT unit on standby.

9. YKYTOFA when you watch those hoverround commercials and wonder how would that look in Woodland camo

10. YKYTOFA when your teammates bring energy drinks and powerbars,
while you carry Ensure and Fiber 1

11. YKYTOFA when you build a custom handle on your stock so your rifle can double as a cane.
(Kudo's to Grant)

12. YKYTOFA When you're wearing both woodland and multicam because
your eyes can't tell the difference.
(Grant)

North Atlantic Airsoft Expo Picture wrap up

So here it is,
It was a lot of work, a whole lot of fun and
I can't wait till next year.

Pyamind air had a great display of just some of their wares, New Vendor for this year
FoxFury Lighting had a display of their tactical lights.
Big Boy Toys was back for their second year as a major sponsor of the Expo

NC Team SG-12 had a great display again this year of some of the Stargate inspired weapons.

KWA showed up, and did it right.
They had prototypes on display and guns to test on the range.

Cool Combat, a local NC field had a nice display and video running showing off the field attributes.

Smart Target LLC was here as well, introducing the newest line of RS targets to the airsoft market

Shoot My Ash, funny name but a fantastic idea. Wood based target system with feedback

Crazy Cro Mag, he came to sell with a huge amount of items

The last pic's have all been from Crazy Cro mags booth, it was a very bigggggg Booth

On Target airsoft brought the whole line of S-thunder products to shoot and test,
those mines are loud puppies.

ARES uncasing the BIG Dogs, and a grease gun to boot
Extra Picture of the Grease Gun, just because I covet it soooo much
Pantac stepped up  this year and brought the full line, what a display.
It was also nice that if you found something you liked, right next door was Cro Mag with it for sale.

The door ran to a little over 700 people, up from last year.
A drenching rain on Sunday kept some home, but the brave souls who ventured out in it got the opportunity to compete in the Tactical shoot off and some other great activity's .

Fluke was our winner of the vintage loadout trophy.
and rightly so.

 some of the loadout competitors
.

Did I mention KWA was there? They won the "BEST VENDOR" award,

Snake from MWGS ( the youtube sensation) and Micah were on hand to sign posters and film
Snake seemed to enjoy himself

Lots of other bloggers and video crews were there to show what you missed, but I guess like me, it's taking them a little time to edit ( I am just old and lazy as hell )

This video is exclusively for the Grand Inquisitioner, who seems to think us southerners are a bunch of hicks, showed you huh?

If you didn't make it this year, you missed a hell of a show,
If you don't make it next year, come on, are you really an airsofter?

SHOT SHOW Recap

So, it almost over for another year
I am talking about the laryngitis and broken ankle here.

SHOT has been over for a week now.
Now to spin up for the Airsoft Expo in High Point.

But 1st lets recap SHOT 2011

Setup was better this year and it was easier to find your way around the floor
The numbers on the floor in front of each booth was very helpful.

I think the attendance by airsoft companies was down a little,
was it due to the crackdowns on trademark infringements, the economy?

All the airsoft booths I made it to were top notch in display and professionalism,
You can't tell any difference between airsoft and real steel anymore.
(Gone are the days of my pegboard display at SHOT 1986, crap like that just won't cut it anymore.)

I am happy to see there is a lot more acceptance of Airsoft as a whole.
We still have some die-hard haters, but looking at the big picture, we have come a long way.

The new bloods in the airsoft media are surprising me every day.
The quality of the video's, interviews and print media I have seen come out so far has been astounding.
The Real Steel media could learn some new tricks watching these guys products.

As always SHOT has posted numbers that show that this year was the best one yet.
I always take that with a grain of salt, but I think this year they were right.

If you are going to Las Vegas and want a tip, here it is,
eat at the Treasure Island Buffet.
For 20 some bucks they have the best food on the strip.
( come on, you've seen pictures of me, you know I can eat)

Other than that, I can't help you.
every time I am in LV it's for a show, so I see the convention center and the hotel, that's it.

Now, here is a video that my fellow NC buddy Thumpy posted
Make sure your stomach is steeled and there are no small children watching,
there are images of me in it.

Next, the big boss of the company I work for riding the bull at Gilly's
Somehow I can't see any other CEO of a lighting companies doing this.

(And no, I did not ride it.
If you have read the blog at all you know i can get hurt crawling out of bed)
On a strange note,  a flying monkey bobble head appeared from UPS today.
Doug got one too, with no idea has to who sent them.
Never tell your friends your fears, they will haunt you

I knew there was a reason for him

A tough looking biker was riding his Harley when he sees a girl about to Jump off a bridge
so he stops.

"What are you doing?" he asks.
"I'm going to commit a suicide," she says.
While he did not want to appear insensitive, he didn't want to miss an opportunity and he asked,
"Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a kiss?"
So, she does.
After she's finished the biker says, "Wow!  That was the best kiss I have ever had!  That's a real talent you are wasting!  You could be famous!  Why are you committing suicide?"
"My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl....."

 Rest in peace number 1885724

Some times you need to take off the cool shades.

Till Tomorrow
Stay thirsty my Friends.
